She has also authored the leading textbook on the subject, published by Oxford University Press.
We recorded this interview prior to the publication of the European Data Protection Board’s opinion on AI models and GDPR principles, following both a discussion paper issued by Hamburg’s Supervisory Authority (“Do LLMs contain personal data?”) and an announcement by the Irish Data Protection Commissioner that it would open an investigation into Google’s PaLM model.
